Unfortunately not. We are unable to rent to solo paddlers, therefore it is not possible to do this trip if you are travelling on your own.
Yes, a lot of our clients have never sea kayaked before but find it really easy to do.
Yes, during the day with our guide, they will take your through a safety briefing and provide instruction on effective paddling techniques and itinerary planning.
yes, you are wearing a bouyancy aid and you will be travelling in a party
with a guide so the chances of you capsizing and falling out of your boat are
minimal. Your guide will have provided you with a briefing on what to do
if you do capsize when you are paddling on your own.
We do recommend that to enjoy the trip you are of at least average fitness. Fitness levels vary amongst every individual, therefore we provide as a guideline, that if you are walking for at least an hour, maybe two, more than four times a week, you should be able to enjoy this trip. You may feel a little tired in your shoulders after a day's paddling, b ut we do have lots of stops along the way and the pace is gentle.
Our trips are flexible enough that we can change the itinerary to meet the
weather conditions. Ideally we try to organise the day so that the wind is
at your back as much as possible. However, as with any outdoors experience,
there may be times when you are required to paddle in windy conditions. If
this is so, the we try to minimise the time that you will be paddling into
the wind.
