The Marlborough Sounds enjoys a temperate climate, and Marlborough consistently has one of the highest sunshine hours in New Zealand. The vegetation is indicative, however, of relatively high rainfall. Temperatures range from 20-30 degrees (Celsius) in the summer to 10-20 degrees (Celsius) in the winter.
